Blackballed continues Stuart Semple's exploration of Black 3.0, a material that absorbs almost all light. In this sculptural work, dimensionality seems to dissolve. 

The title makes play of a word often associated with elitism and exclusion. 

Blackballed is a small edition based on a larger work the artist created for a touring exhibition, that will see a larger version of the piece exhibited in cities including Paris, Dallas, London, and others.
