For this extremely limited set of prints, Stuart Semple has enlarged his initial. Lovetone concept. "The more I play with Lovetone the more I want to be able able to see each unique colour and pixel with the naked eye, the only way to do that in print was to make the work much bigger"
AN EXPERIMENT TO CREATE THE WORLD'S MOST COLOUR-FULL COLOUR
Lovetone appears as a mid-grey square, but in fact, it contains more unique colours than any other swatch ever printed.
LOVETONE is generated using a custom code that Stuart Semple wrote, producing over 16 million completely different colours.
The code then plotted those colours randomly on a grid. Producing Lovetone.
To the naked eye, it appears as a grey colour swatch, but on closer inspection, a whole universe of colours opens up.
LOVETONE has been made using state of the art digital archival printing, each dot is a specific mix of red, green and blue ink. The prints are finished with a hand-silkscreened overlay using a unique ink formulation on beautiful Somerset satin paper.

Lovetone comes with a magnifyer, enabling you to see all 16 million + unique colours.
Or you can simply use your camera phone and zoom in to see every possible colour in the RGB spectrum.
LOVETONE INK:
Stuart worked with the team in his colour lab to create an entirely new ink just for LOVETONE. This ink will shift between colours right in front of your eyes and marks the creation of the first silkscreen ink of its kind.
