About the work
On 7th of June 2024 Stuart Semple legally changed his name to Anish Kapoor.
The performance itself questioned the concept of ownership, entitlement and the value of artist names within the contemporary art world.
If you're proud not to be Kapoor this is the perfect piece for you.
Each piece is signed by A. Kapoor in graphite.
Each work will be uniquely printed by Stuart Semple by hand, using lino and ink. Then embellished with a marker pen.
Therefore each piece will have its unique defects, amount of ink and identity. All blemishes and differences are to be celebrated.

‘Not Kapoor’ is a beautiful hand-produced lino-print work.
The piece is produced using high-quality acrylic ink applied by hand using a roller and relief printed onto high-quality Saunders Waterford paper. Text is then added by the artist using a marker pen.
Each print will be made to order, each with its unique imperfections.
